Columbia Ladies
The February meeting of the Columbia Ladies was attended by 21 members and 1 guest. The main topic of the meeting was the card party which will be held on Saturday, March 20th. Chances are now available for the grand prize which is a 37"Sansui Wide Flat Screen LCD HD television, each chance is $1.00. The cost to attend the card party and enjoy lunch is $8.00, (that is a bargain). Karen Segars will be in charge of the kitchen. If you have a card table or two that we could use that day, please bring it to the club or call and arrangements will be made to pick it up. Any item to be used as a door prize or a donation can be left at the club on the first floor.
Carol Drane’s name was drawn for the attendance prize but she was not present. The March attendance prize will be $15.00. Cathy McGaughey won $10 and Martha Ratterman won $5 in Split the Pot. Petey Tapp won the door prize of a Valentine box of candy, and a basket of finger towels. After indulging in Valentine treats we played a round of bunco. Several women were lucky and got an extra punch by rolling a bunco. When all was said and done everyone had a good time. The big prize winners were: 1st prize of $12 to Mary Helen Becker with 7 games, 2nd prize of $8 to Laura Humbert with 6 games, 3rd prize of a 5 piece Feberware cheese set to Catherine Kopp, Jody Howard won a decorative plate for having the clothes pin at the end of the game and Ann Caufield got a bag of Hershey Kisses for the booby prize. Our next meeting will be: March 3rd, 2010. See you there! March Birthdays: Mary Agnes Ludwig passed away last month. Next meeting is March 3rd
