Our Books for Vets Program is still going strong- the latest count of total paperback books we have delivered to the Veterans Hospital is: 7,148 DONATED PAPERBACK BOOKS What an outstanding gesture of appreciation this is from all the members of our Knights of Columbus Council, Assembly, and Columbia Ladies. Please keep delivering new and slightly used paperback books to the Books for Vets Box at the clubhouse- this is a great way to show our appreciation for our veterans. |

TOOTSIE ROLL — HONOR ROLL The 2010 Bishop Spalding Council No. 2761 Annual Mentally Disabled Drive (Tootsie Roll) is under way. The Council has most of the preliminary planning out of the way and looking forward to another successful drive. This is a great opportunity for new members to get involved in the Charity aspect of the Knights. As the 2010 Council Chairman of the Special Gifts Division of our annual Tootsie Roll Drive I will be soliciting your financial support, especially if you are unable to work a roadblock. Anyone who contributes $100 or more will be recognized on the front page of The Good Knight under the 2010 Tootsie Roll Honor Roll. Last year the final appreciation list had 167 contributors names on it. NOW's the time to write the check payable to: K of C #2761 Charity Fund and mail to: 4417 Upper River Road, Louisville, KY 40222. The twelve "Apostles" will be receiving a letter from me shortly.
